
Docker containers live up to their namesake – you can load up the individual units with each containers being, well, self-contained and not particularly concerned with the neighbors.
I have been experimenting bit more with and gaining familiarity with Docker containers and the hype does seem to live up. For a busy person who likes to run a home lab with some services that should be able to “just work” without having to worry so much about updates breaking other integrations (since you can roll back and pin to a specific version before a breaking change). Management with Portainer has streamlined being able to quickly look into status and logs without having to refresh my memory of CLI commands when I have an opportunity (or need) to look into what is going on (or not going on).
