You may be a diehard fan of either or maybe you just need your “out and about” caffeine fix; either way, let’s talk about Starbucks vs Dunkin Donuts.
With the amount of different types of coffees and coffee makers we have in this house it is not always necessary to acquire a $5 cup of coffee from places like Starbucks and Dunkin. However I, like some, want a special treat every now and then, however I find myself more inclined to visit a hole in the wall coffee shop than a big chain. Don’t get me wrong I am a Starbucks gold card member and have been since I was in college, but as I have gotten older the small business coffee shops just seem to appeal to me more, both in taste and price. If my choice was left to just Starbucks or Dunkin I feel like it would be a toss-up on which one I would choose on any given day. Starbucks’s coffee is sometimes too bitter for me and yet Dunkin is sometimes too sweet. It truly depends on the day and what I am feeling. However Dunkin has launched a new rewards system in the last 6 months that has placed it above Starbucks in terms of what you get and if you are really getting a good bang for your buck.
Keep checking back on the Coffee section at Coffee House Compute for more updates. We’ll be posting more as the coffee kicks in for the day.
